Breaking down walls

Not all fortress walls are stone and mortar, towering barriers, impenetrable to enemies and beasts. A façade built brick by brick, and held together by fear, pain and mistrust.

Some are as flimsy as the wind. A mere mirage, a trick of the eye, not protecting, but imprisoning captives behind the fortress gate. Created in secret, hoping no one notices the blockade, it can be harder to break out than to break in.
