Keeping my arms and legs pulled in tight, I dare not let them fall over the edge of my bed. I hear the scratching, feel the hot breath of what is lurking beneath.
Pale faces at my window, alien and distorted, paralyze me with fear. I shake my head, trying to dispel white noise voices that buzz inside my brain. I can’t escape from these aberrations.*
This week’s Trifextra challenge is to build on a previous 33-word entry, adding an additional 33 words

Visual and sensual piece. Makes me shiver. Great writing.
This oozes Lovecraft. Which is one hell of a thing to ooze.
Ooo. Creepy. Is it real or all imagination? Love it!
This was a great example of expounding, and the first one I’ve seen where someone gave backstory rather than adding on to the prompt after. Great job!
Can’t escape from these aberrations… great line. Are they real or imagined? Nicely done!
Kicked it up a notch didn’t you? ~~~shudder!~~~
This is very creepy and well written. I feel like I’m in the room with her. I want to read more!
Ok, now I am scared to look at my windows here. You added a great continuation.
If the first part was a creepy story by a campfire, the second was the sudden cold wind that blew it out. You’ve got us even more hooked ;)
This reminds me of my childhood terrors.
What IS the image?
The photo is a negative image of a shattered window pane. I thought it looked cool, and kinda creepy.
Such well chosen words make this deliciously frightening!
Love the images here, so unsettling, and the itchy sounds and feelings really drill in. Well done.
there’s a creep factor magnified by the amazing word choices. Gimme another 33, lady
I’m so glad I’m not in my bed right now – minutes from lights out. You’ve just given me a second wind. 8O
Ohhhhh man. I can’t help but feel like this is going to end badly if it ever gets to part 3.
Oh yeah, because I don’t already have enough problems getting to sleep… *plugs in nightlight and pulls blankets over head* :D
