What were you thinking? Were you even thinking?
I don’t know. I guess I thought that if I treated him like he treated me, he’d see. If I blew off dates, or didn’t call him back, he’d miss me, realize he wanted to be with me. That if I talked down to him in front of his friends, he’d understand how much it hurt.
Yeah, how’s that working for you?
He called me yesterday.
Oh, really? What’d he say?
He wanted to know if I was available to take his and Stephani’s engagement photos this weekend.
Wow…
I know, right?
100 Word Song, is a writing challenge from Lance based on a weekly music prompt. The Challenge is to compose a story in exactly 100 words. This week’s challenge is inspired by Matchbox Twenty’s, “Push.”

Ooh! Awesome.
Whoa.
Talk about words with a sting!
Tara, This was a excellent piece. I hope she knows to never go back!
and that is exactly what a man like that would do.
Ouch! Sometimes, girls have the Messiah complex: “My love will change this diamond-in-the-rough into something.” Yay.
And still she feels bad about “losing” him?
You girls, I’ll never getcha…
We were never meant to be understood. (I don’t get it either, but some women fall for the guys who treat them the worst.)
Nice! So many ways to interpret this song ~ I like it.
I hope she said no, too… but it can be hard to not get pushed around. Good take on the prompt!!
Looking back, I cringe at some of the stupid things I did and said all because of some guy.
Ouch!… I think I dated him for a little while in college…
Ha! I think we may all have at one time.
Wow indeed! Now that is a kick in the teeth
ZING ouch!!! I don’t envy Stephani, though.
Yeah, she’s getting a real catch.
Ouch! I can only imagine her answer to his question! I hope she said, “NO!”
HA! I’m sure she did.
