Villa Tasso

Drove out to a little town along the Choctawhatchee Bay called Villa Tasso, stopping at Bay Flats and Maxwell Gunter Recreation Area along the way. It was overcast and I had to run for my car at one point to dodge the rain, but it was nice to be outside and enjoying the bay.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

  1. Great pictures. I think you captured how peaceful Villa Taso is (at least I imagine it is.) I love that one of the Gecko, they are cool animals.

  2. what I really think – I like all but the fence. The fence shot seems over done but that might be because I see it used in political ads. Nice green almost glowing lizard.

  3. Love the snail shot best, but all the pics are good….So much of coastal Florida looks similar, so where do you live? I visit a cousin in Melbourne Fl. often, and see many lovely scenes like this!

    • Thank you! The shells are actually hermit crabs. They covered the drift wood at the shore’s edge. Must have been a dozen or more of them. The big one was as large as my palm.

  4. I always look forward to seeing your gorgeous photography on Sunday. (I also tremendously enjoy your posts through the week in my mailbox!)

Have you seen the new Lytra camera yet?

  5. I sit in awe of your talent all the time Tara, these pictures are just beautiful for a Sunday morning or frankly any day.

  6. That first picture could be a shoreline on Lake Superior. The others are clearly FL!

Thanks for taking us along and I surely do wish you’d send some of that rain our way.

So, tell me what you really think:
