“… not all those who wander are lost.”
~ J.R.R. Tolkien
When I go in my photo hikes, I spend my hours outside looking everywhere for something new, or interesting. I’ve knelt in wet leaves and lain prone in sand to get just the right angle on a shot. I’ve climbed on rocks and wended my way under bridges looking for a unique perspective on everyday things.
This weekend, I spent the entire day looking… up.
(Other than adding watermarks, cropping the first and last photos, straightening and resizing, no other editing was done to these images.)

Wow, this is my favorite set yet! Such stunning colors and clouds and ocean colors. GORGEOUS. Makes me long for the beach!
the two piers are my favorites!
There’s just something about those clouds at Beasley Park that keep me going back to that photo. Lovely.
I’d love to run on that white sugar. Most of our beaches have brown sand.
These sky shots look so summery. We are still waiting for warmer days, right now it’s sunny but not warm.
Have a good week ahead!
These are awesome. I especially like the second picture – the formations of the clouds above the sand. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful skies! Ours have been so gray and heavy. It’s nice to see some color and sun.
Mmmm, I love clouds.
Beautiful perspective. I love your photo hikes.
beautiful shots. those blues are fantastic!
Gorgeous and I love the perspective.
Spectacular. Your perspective is flawless. Thanks for sharing.
Love the clouds, and your perspective in them. These were beautiful Tara. It’s starting to get that way here, and I watch them on my way home from work… (I know I should be watching the road, but sheesh ;-) Thank you for some beautiful skies!
I’m such a sky watcher! Love pictures with clouds in them. Great shots!!
When I see blue skies like that, all I want to do is gaze – or daydream! So beautiful!
As I just said to Unknown Mami on her blog we seemed to be stuck in grey sky land at the moment. I really hope looking up will bring blue skies and big puffy clouds soon.

We had gloomy, dark skies a couple of weeks ago. But, I do love a good storm as much as blue, clear skies… maybe even more.
Now those are beautiful pictures.
You could have easily airbrushed in the sky in that first one. (I know – you didn’t – that’s just how perfect the weather is.)
For a minute I thought Beasley Park still had snow! But now, on second look, I think that is white sand, right?
Yes, the sand here on Florida’s Gulf Coast is that white, and is very fine, like sugar.
