Boatel and storage

Spent a few days on the road with my peeps last week, and didn’t get as many photos as I had hoped. Seems family time trumps picture taking time. I also discovered why I don’t photograph people… I should really stay away from taking portraits, it ain’t pretty. And, no I won’t share.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens and/or a Nikon CoolPix S205)

  1. Hooray for catching up with family. I want to see your portraits – I truly don’t think it is possible for you to take a bad photo!
I love the photo of the flower – so cheery.

  2. I love your photos – the brown eyed susan is so spectacular. I totally get what you’re saying about portraits – they have never been a strong point for me! But I’m going to argue with you and say that you should just photograph people *more* often. You’ll get better and better. And I bet you a million dollars you’re also being harder on yourself than we would. ;)

  3. I don’t know why…but I love the boat picture. I think it’s the lighting and the setting combined or…whatever it is I keep going back to it! Great series.

  4. Family time ALWAYS trumps picture-taking time….you know that. But, these were really nice Tara. As for portrait shots….not for me either. I run the other way these days. Love, Joy

  5. I think our Miss Mami should add ONE MORE rule to this linky party – - – I think we should identify our “City” ’cause I look at all these places and things and wonder where in the world am I????

Lovely photos. There’s something about that camo boat that really reaches out to me.

So, tell me what you really think:
